In Conversation With The NSW Finance Minister

NSW Minister for Finance Courtney Houssos' first CEDA address was to a packed house at the Fullerton Hotel in Sydney.

Highlighting her priorities for the state over the next year, the minister explored how powerful policymaking could improve peoples’ standard of living and how public expenditure in key areas – specifically transport, education, health, and housing – needs to enhance public transparency and accountability. Moreover, she also emphasised the importance of measuring how the state performs with regard to community well-being – a key indicator of the success of any government.

Facilitated by Stephen Galilee, Chief Executive Officer, NSW Minerals Council, the event was attended by a range of senior professionals from the government, academia, and the business community.
