2024 Infrastructure Conference

At CEDA’s 2024 Infrastructure Conference, policymakers including the Federal Minister for Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Local Government, the Hon. Catherine King, and leaders from the industry addressed the CEDA audience about upcoming federal and state priorities, bottlenecks, and opportunities. 

Outlining the major projects underway and her priorities for the future, the Hon. Catherine King highlighted the crucial nexus between infrastructure and productivity, and how it relates to long-term goals such as the net-zero transition. The conversations also focused on the need for more meaningful engagement with diverse stakeholders, specifically First Nations people, on upcoming energy projects. Regional mobility and the need for better public transport systems were other themes discussed, positioning the importance of these interdependent factors for a country with a growing population.
